how it works

This is a Max/MSP/Pluggo application. It runs four simultaneous audio/MIDI plugins chained in any permutation of a 4x4 matrix. The first version worked with a Behringer BCr-2000 control surface to allow real time control of plugin parameters. After trying it in live performance the BCr-2000 was scrapped in favor of a system which allowed quick recall of presets. Randomization created the most interesting sounds.

I have used this program on gigs with Melissa Kassel and Phil Grenadier at the Lily Pad in Cambridge, MA. The sounds are generally spacey, evolving, and electronic sounding.
